Entitled

Were you there

when I woke with ankles chained to coral

could you hear it

when I woke I was surrounded

how many of them were there

when I woke strapped down the serum inching

what was it that was murmured

when I woke five filaments of hyphae

was it just a dream

when I woke a full lotus flame

were you absolutely certain

when I woke the ground getting closer

    Dear Consciousness Creates Reality,

I enjoyed reading your poem “Entitled.” I also liked how you split the image of the tree and moss so that it magnifies the words and supports the words and story you are telling as one goes along the image goes down with it. That was very good I thought.
Thank you for sharing your poem on your blog, it brought a lot of images and memories to the forefront of my mind.
    Regards,
    Sam.

You are welcome. I’ve been on this blog all night. I need some inspiration and motivation. I am supposed to be working on a project right now that is due tomorrow at my writing group. I have to do six reviews on members submissions. I am awful at reviewing. This is the second time I have been to the group, so I am expected to give feedback, and they will give me feedback on my submission. It’s almost 2 AM, and I have yet to begin. It’s going to be an all nighter.

I like when people read my blog like that it makes me feel like a living book.

I used to think I was bad at reviewing too. Thing is you just need to do it. Everyone loves feedback on their work. Just write how it makes you feel, I always love hearing about that at least

Thanks I need to be pushed. I know I don’t make as many comments as I should.. Now that I have as many followers as I do, it’s hard to keep up. I know a lot of them have probably dropped off. I wanted to go back and start from the first follower, because I haven’t been keeping up with their work, and I need to practice by doing that. Your comment is a good suggestion for me. I like that, a living book.

I love the slices of imagery between each line of this poem! Are you the photographer by chance? Reading (and seeing) this was definitely an inspiration as I try to pick back up my blogging and refresh my blog post style.

Thanks! I am a lover of photography and just picked up a dslr recently and have been experimenting. First I had a bunch of different pictures, but then I felt like cutting up two would work better with the back and forth of the poem, and it did…have fun—I think that’s the most important thing, or meditating on something that matters to you, or getting something out you no longer need…

I liked the focused effect of just using two photographs. I also like to think of myself as an amateur photographer, just without the proper equipment. Hoping to find a cheap, used camera that I can take with out to hikes and other excursions. I hope your experimenting continues to go well!

Thanks, maybe look at the canon t5, they look pretty good for the price. I used to take sweet pics with a little point and shoot just on the food setting too. Was perfect for burning man.
